In order to contribute to a better understanding of the linkages and potential interactions between forest-related initiatives, in particular REDD+ and FLEGT and other supply and demand side approaches at country level, the European Tropical Forest Research Network (ETFRN), together with Tropenbos International, the German International Cooperation, the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, the European Union and the European Forest Institute, will publish a special issue of ETFRN News.
The publication aims (1) to bring together information based on practical experiences and (on-going) research about how FLEGT and REDD+ (and other forest related initiatives and supply and demand side approaches) are integrated and coordinated at country level, and; (2) to identify opportunities and limitations for interactions between FLEGT, REDD+ and other forest related initiatives, including supply and demand side approaches (at country level). The Newsletter is scheduled for publication in December 2013.
We are inviting colleagues and organizations involved in the theme to contribute an article (maximum 3,000 words) on their work and experiences. If you are interested to contribute, please contact Guido Broekhoven (guido.broekhoven@gmail.com) before 24 June 2013 with the topic and a short outline (app. 200 words) of your article.
