Forest research opportunities within FP6:
Third call Policy-oriented Research

• Sustainable management of Europe's natural resources, including topics such as sustainable development of rural areas, new modes of governance for sustainable forestry, development of monitoring for species and habitats, and JI/CDM technologies to support policy decisions;
• Providing health security and opportunity to the people in Europe, including risk assessment and prevention of natural disasters;
• Underpinning the economic potential and cohesion of a larger and more integrated EU, including current and future renewable energy sources in developing countries, and links between trade, environment and policies.
